The application procedure to take part in the Training Course to promote inclusive and unified sports activities within COME IN project is now open!

The Training course: 24 participants will be selected and trained to be able to implement inclusive activities in the sport field and to spread awareness about the role of sport to promote social inclusion.

A training course to increase inclusion within the sport field at grassroots level

The project “Come In” aims to increase sport opportunities at grass-roots level for young people having disabilities by being involved in unified activities together with their able-bodied peers. To reach this aim, one of the main steps of the project has been the development of an educational programme which will be used to train volunteers, coaches, trainers, youth workers and youth leaders active in the sport field and willing to implement inclusive and unified sport activities involving young people with and without disability.

We are looking for 24 participants to take part to a process made of three steps:

In the first phase, participants will take part in a training course based on the educational programme and held in the UK from the 1st of February (arrival day) to the 5th of February 2019.

After the training course, participants will implement inclusive activities in their sport local realities by using competencies, knowledge and tools acquired.

A second and conclusive phase of the training course will be in Italy, at the end of May, when participants will meet again in Rome to share their feedback about the activities implemented. The experiences done by them will be functional to finalize the “Come In toolkit”, a resource that will be available online for all the associations/clubs/schools aiming to implement inclusive and integrated sports activities involving people with and without disability together.
